Immigration Task Force
The Racine Interfaith Coalition's Immigration Taskforce has been working on issues of immigration and reform for many years - specifically to educate federal and state leaders as well as community members.

Most recently, the RIC Immigration Taskforce has been working on a driver's card initiative in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin residents need a Social Security Number to get a Drivers License. But undocumented people need to drive – to work, to church, to buy groceries. They need to take their children to the doctor and to do all the things other Wisconsin residents do routinely.

Having insured, well-trained drivers make our roads safer for everyone.

In 2014, the RIC Immigration Taskforce prepared a community Power Point presentation on this issue and to educate groups about the need for immigration reform particularly in Wisconsin.
